Sun protective clothing is very effective in reducing ultraviolet radiation (URV) transmittance to the skin. The ability to block UVR is graded on the ultraviolet protection factor (UPF) scale. To receive the Seal of recommendation from the Skin Cancer Foundation, the fabric must achieve a UPF rating of 30 at minimum. We test our fabric to assure they offer excellent protection, a UPF rating of 50+ corresponds to clothing the blocks 98% of UVR.
